Colby Hammond, also known as Miss Cash, is taking (some of) her talents to ‘Trap Thursdays’. Known well among a small circle of music aficionados, Cash is beginning to make a name for herself due to her superb music selections that have been showcased on #NewMusicMonday (powered by YesJulz.com).
For #NMM Cash curates the music and sends the weekly playlist up to YesJulz for review. Julz then adds or subtracts songs to her taste before going live (often with exclusives from some heavyweight artists).
Trap Thursdays was designed with the intentions of powering your ‘turn up’ for the weekend while offering a broader perspective of trap.
We caught up with Miss Cash to get some more info on her new #TT playlist.
AUR?: So what inspired the Trap Thursday movement?
Miss Cash: Well I love trap music and sometimes I feel it gets a bad rap or reputation. Yes it’s a lifestyle but it’s also a genre.
Miss Cash: Trap Soul. It’s reach goes beyond traditional trap and trap artists like Gucci, Future or Migos.
AUR? And what can we expect to hear?
Miss Cash: You can hear everything from mainstream trap, to underground trap to even international trap… which I can’t wait to showcase… But basically everything.
AUR?: How frequently will you bless us with Trap Thursdays?
Miss Cash: We’re going to start monthly. The plan is to accumulate good music over the first 3 weeks of the month and set it off in the final week. But you’ll have to stay tuned we will have some surprises along the way! Artist might want to follow me on Snapchat/Twitter as well :).
AUR?: Nice. Where can we find it?
Miss Cash: I’m going to be uploading my ‘Trap Thursday’ playlists on my soundcloud (soundcloud.com/whoismisscash) so make sure you follow me there (everywhere IG, Twitter, FB ect I’m @WhoIsMissCash). In addition to that I’m not sure would love for the playlist to be re-posted!
