Travi$ Scott (@trvisxx) – Days Before Rodeo #NewAlbum

Travis Scott Smoke

A couple weeks ago I had a chance to hang with Travi$ Scott while he was in Miami for his show at Grand Central. I was lucky enough to preview a few of the tracks of this project and have been looking forward to the album release.

It’s here! Travi$’ long-awaited new project, Days Before Rodeo, was released today. The project features 12 songs in total, with appearances from Young Thug, Migos, PeeWee Longway, and Rich Homie Quan. Also included on the album is “Quintana Pt. 2,” which is a follow up to the popular track from his last project, Owl Pharaoh.

Travi$ Scott’s performances are always crazy beyond words, so I’m excited to see what he brings to these next shows following the release of Days Before Rodeo.

Kendrick Lamar Says “Hottest MCs In The Game” List Is “Very Important For Hip-Hop”

Kendrick Lamar weighs in on MTV’s list of the “Hottest MCs In The Game,” saying it’s very important for hip-hop.

As the much-debated MTV “Hottest MCs In The Game” list continues to unfold (we’re currently at #3 spot– which was given to Rick Ross– thoughts?), rappers and critics continue to give their two cents on the list. We’ve already heard from A$AP Rocky and Kanye West who are both unhappy with their ranking. Today, Kendrick weighs in on how important the list is.

K. Dot says the list is very important for the game, as it keeps up the competitive spirit within hip-hop.”It’s very important for hip-hop,” the Compton native said. “I love that they have debates like that. We need that. It’s competitive. Even though we doing these collaborations and stuff like that and we cool, at the same time, this is still rap. It’s still competitive and I’m trying to compete with everybody to be the best.”

Kendrick continued, “When people feel like they need to make their comments, I feel that’s needed. You’re supposed to feel like you’re the best ’cause if you don’t, you gon’ get stepped on ’cause it’s a jungle out there.”

When asked if he had heard about Kanye West’s passionate reaction to his placement as #7 on the list, Kendrick said, “I heard about it. Be passionate for sure.”

The TDE rapper continued to say whether or not if he felt Kanye deserved a higher spot on the list,”Definitely. I mean, it’s Kanye. He been putting in work for years. I’m just figuring out how they judge it though, they judge it through out the year, so I dunno how that works with the roundtable.”
